The Blacksmith's Wish

In a village where wishes are whispered to stone… nothing comes without a price.
Gowan Black, the village blacksmith, lives each day surrounded by the very thing that scarred him. The scars he bears are more than skin deep, and the nightmares that follow leave him certain of one thing. No wife, no family. What woman could look beyond the damage and see anything worth loving?

Effie McRay has never been one to follow expectations. Mischievous, curious, and far too spirited to settle down, she has no intention of giving her heart away. And yet, there is something about Gowan Black she cannot ignore. The quiet strength beneath his gruff demeanor. The pain shadowing his eyes. The way he keeps everyone, especially her, at a careful distance.
Determined to uncover the truth, Effie edges closer to the man who insists he is beyond saving… never expecting to risk her own heart in the process.

A tender, emotional tale of a broken man, a fearless woman, and the fragile hope that love can rise from the ashes.
